The Rotor - The Official Organ of the Metropolitan-Vickers Apprentice Association

T1488. In 1914 Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Company, one of the largest employers on Trafford Park, started up a works school for apprentices. The school proved very popular, with over four hundred apprentices attending by 1919. A trade apprentice association was formed in 1916, which issued a two paged newsletter containing news stories and articles. This publication was expanded in 1921 and was renamed 'The Rotor'.
