The Ford Factory at Trafford Park

The Ford Factory at Trafford Park

T1436. The Ford factory at Trafford Park opened in 1911 on Westinghouse Road. Initially the factory built 'Model T' cars with traditional methods. In 1914 the factory changed its technique and began to produce cars on production lines. Although the company had strict rules and regulations, workers were keen to gain employment with the American firm, as they paid good wages.
