Cutting with overbridge in Twyford, Buckinghamshire

L3436. This brick arch overbridge spans a cutting in Twyford, Buckinghamshire. Two contractor's lines run underneath the structure, whereupon they merge to create a single track. The sleepers are made of wood, and were often reused when lines were pulled up. A gantry with a pully stands to the left of tracks, near an assortment of short sections of drainage pipes. Once a permanent line had been laid, this cutting formed part of the Great Central Railway's Brackley Central to Quainton Road route.
