Loudwater Tunnel

Loudwater Tunnel

L3393. This photograph provides a close up view of the southern portal of Loudwater Tunnel. A date stone at the top of the structure indicates it was constructed in 1905. Cutting walls are dressed with stonework - presumably designed to secure them and make them pleasing to the eye.
