The Great Central Hotel in Loughborough, Leicestershire

The Great Central Hotel in Loughborough, Leicestershire

L3247. Most of the large stations along the London Extension could boast a company hotel. Marylebone and Nottingham had very large and luxurious hotels, while Leicester and Loughborough's were both a little more modest. The Great Central Hotel in Leicester was demolished many years ago, but the one in Loughborough is still going strong. Unlike the others, it is still known as the Great Central Hotel and has even named its restaurant 'The Master Cutler' after the London Extension's premier train.
