Printout from The Last Main Line:

Great Missenden Station, Buckinghamshire

Great Missenden Station, Buckinghamshire

L2628. Work in progress at Great Missenden Station, a stop on the Metropolitan line and formerly part of the Metropolitan & Great Central Joint Committee route. The picture shows the lengthening of the platforms at the north end of the station. On the far left, a steam engine hauling mixed freight wagons approaches. Note the semaphore signal rising from the platform: presumably this unusual feature was moved before the platform alterations were completed.
