Bridge 340 - Quorn, Leicestershire

Bridge 340 - Quorn, Leicestershire

L2153. Photographed looking east in February 1978, this is bridge 340, a girder underbridge of typical design that was built to carry the London Extension across a farm track near Quorn. Given that many similar structures had been besieged by weeds and undergrowth in the eight years since the line's closure, this bridge's brickwork and wing walls are in excellent condition.
