Bridge 415 near Dunton Bassett in Leicestershire

L1966. Bridge 415 was a small brick-arch occupation bridge, located just to the south of Dunton Bassett Tunnel. In this photograph looking west in May 1977, the embankment on either side of the bridge has become very overgrown and even the brick parapets of the bridge have sprouted plant life. Otherwise, it is hard to tell that the railway no longer exists. The photograph is misleading as it makes the bridge look like a tunnel. In fact, the farther arch actually carries the M1 motorway.
