Navvies drilling holes in sleepers, Finmere, Buckinghamshire

L1572. Drilling holes to fix the rail chairs to the sleepers at Finmere in Buckinghamshire 4th October 1897. These navvies would probably have worked for Walter Scott & Co. of Newcastle upon Tyne, the contractor who built this section of the Railway (Contract No.6 Brackley to Quainton Road).
