L1523. Great Central porter standing by a passenger coach at Leicester, circa 1900. The porter's name is possibly Richard Bowett. This section of the Last Main Line (Contract No.2, Leake to Aylestone) was built by Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton between 1894-1899.
