L1399. A temporary wooden bridge over the Wolfhampcote to Flecknoe road in Warwickshire. The brick built abutments are destined to carry a girder deck when completed, but at the time of the photograph, they only support a light timber deck. The brick work appears to be nearing completion with only the top of the wing-walls to finish. This section of the London Extension formed part of Contract No. 4 built by T. Oliver & Son between 1894 and 1899. | |
