L1016. Manning Wardle & Co. contractor's locomotive - 0-6-0 saddletank, DORTON (built circa 1873), with three crew. The picture was taken at Saunderton, Buckinghamshire, circa 1903, on the line between High Wycombe and Princes Risborough built by Mackay & Davies of Cardiff. Note the weatherboard at the rear of the engine appears to have been 'hand-made' from pieces of wood. | |
