L3032. The Woodford Shedmaster poses proudly with his staff beside the immaculate 4-4-0 Class 11A main line locomotive No. 867. A modification of Thomas Parker's Class 11 express engine, Harry Pollitt's 11A loco was fitted with piston, rather than slide valves. With the tender brimming with coal and smoke rising from the chimney, what journey lay ahead for this handsome locomotive?
