G1472. This was built to a Ministry specification for an Army Co-operation aircraft, it was evaluated with the Armstrong Whitworth Atlas, which gained the contract. The Bristol Directors contined to develope the aircraft as a private venture. The aircraft was No. 6805 and registered as G-EBLG. Captain Barnwell redesigned the aircraft in 1924 using a new method of steel construction. This entailed taking high tensile steel strips, rolled into cusped and flanged sections, which were then riveted together lengthways to form longerons and struts. The joints being made by gusset plates instead of machined end fittings. The resulting structure was lighter and stronger than one made from drawn tubes and very much cheaper.

In the end the contracts went elsewhere and only three Boarhounds were produced. It used the 425 hp Jupiter IV engine which gave it a maximum speed of 130 mph.
