Where will the project go from here?
The three web sites created as part of the "Three Centuries of Transport" project and residing under the portal umbrella site Transport Archive will hopefully provide a solid foundation for future additions.
Plans for the future of "Transport Archive" are not yet full y developed but it is intended that the site should evolve into a national archive site for life-long learning and provide a focal gateway into the history of transport in the UK.
The site will link various web sites telling the story and displaying images of specific transport undertakings. Other sites, such as www.learningonthemove.co.uk, already provide information about the transport industry in general but the Transport Archive site will be the first to focus entirely on specific enterprises or transport concerns.
